Grecia’s bridal portrait //Houston photographer//Texas photographer

Meet my beautiful bride Grecia. Her future sister-in-law to be send me an email inquiring for my prices, I sent it to her and of course we met in my favorite place Starbucks. This meeting with Grecia and her future sister-in-law to be was more like 3 lost friends getting together after few months no seeing each other. We hit it up so good, we talk about the wedding (of Course) all the details, ceremony etc….I was getting so excited just to hear how beautiful her wedding was going to be. After the meeting I went  home, few weeks later I received a message from them to let me know they want me to capture the wedding, I was so excited. We started with the engagement session, where I got to meet her fiance and just right after that I capture her beauty with her beautiful gown.  Here is some of my favorite. Hope you like them as much as I did….Grecia your looked Fabulous!!

Sam and Grecia Engagement session // Downtown Houston, Texas.

It’s always a pleasure to meet new people, it is one of my favorite parts of my job, besides capturing the beauty of the moment. This couple is ah-mazing such a beautiful and sweet couple and I can’t wait to document their day when they say I do.

They met when they were tween, when she start going to Sam’s church. But it wasn’t until few years later that Grecia actually start liking Sam and guess what few years later he proposed to her. What a beautiful story for such beautiful couple.

THE BEST WEDDING TRADITIONS TO KEEP AROUND FOREVER

Wedding Atlanta 440-2_edited-1

It is time to get down to the nitty-gritty now that your wedding date has been finalized. Sure, you are a modern girl when it comes to everyday life but being a tad traditional is certainly not going to hurt especially when you are thinking about one of the most important days of your life. It is best to go by the old English rhyme, “Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue. After all, you are not going to be blushing bride again (touchwood) and would love to get wedded with all the ancient traditions intact. But do you really have an idea of how to go about it? Check out some of the best wedding traditions we feel should be around forever and see if you can be creative about them.

1. Something Old

Take a long hard look at the family heirlooms and decide on the exceptional piece that you would like to wear for your wedding. It could be as simple as a passed down bridal gown, definitely, but we feel that you are entitled to your very own wedding dress So forget, it and concentrate on other artifacts instead. What about your granny’s beautiful emerald brooch or your aunt’s beautiful bejeweled hair pin? There are many ways to incorporate them either in the bouquet or centerpiece. A simple name-tag will do too as long as it is steeped in history. Your man could match you by sharing the tradition wholeheartedly and turn up with his Grand-Grand-Dad’s cuff-links on his sleeve.

2. Something New

Having something new on is not going to be a problem in the least. You are sure to have dresses and matching jewelry, shoes, cosmetics and what not. Yet the commonplace items do not get your heart beating well and truly, right? Why don’t you simply put on the most cherished gift that your man has given you? Never mind whether it is a chunky solitaire or a single red rose. Both speak of love, the passion that needs to be on the forefront on your wedding day.

3. Something Borrowed

Do you really need to borrow things on your wedding day? Maybe not, but tradition dictates that you do. Turn to your friends and family this time. You might borrow a particularly frilly wisp of nothing in the form of a handkerchief from the giggling maid of honor as well. A seat of earrings, a bracelet, a ribbon or an armband off your BFF can serve the purpose equally well too. So go on, don’t hesitate to ask. It’s a noble tradition that you will be upholding.

4. Something Blue

This part seems to be the easiest but may turn out to be trickiest one.  You can’t just go for a blue wedding gown, not when you are keen on tradition. So virginal white is a must! Alas! Your shoes need to match your gown and you can hardly throw away your image of a trendy woman on this day. Think hard and you are sure to come up with something innovative like a small piece of name tag sewn in blue thread or a blue iris in your bouquet.

There are many other traditions, and this list should only get you started. For the most adventurous brides, why not make up a new tradition?
